WIKI TREE ENDORSED AS IT DOESN'T REQUIRE MONEY TO USE FOR MAKING FAMILY TREE UNLIKE ANCESTRY.COM

Mom added family to our tree on Wiki Tree which is like Wiki Pedia, as in Wikipedia, the website, but it is focus on genealogies like Ancestry.com.
.
Many websites require money, as in premium subscriptions, as in accounts, as in credit cards, and they limit your access in what you can do and see when you do not pay after your free trial ends.

But Wiki Tree does not require money.

But Wiki Tree have badges. In order to create and edit new ancestors before the year 1500 A.D., then you need to pass some tests & work on some projects with other members and learn how to source the information correctly.
.
I failed on my attempt on the Pre-1500 badge this week around my 32nd birthday now in 2017.
.
You can look at the email they sent me below:
.
You can visit the website too sometimes.
.
I trust this website more than websites that require money.
.
When you build a family tree on a money required website, then if you do not continue to pay, then it might and may just disappear someday and that is like a waste of time and a lot of good work thrown down the drain:
.
I think Rick and mom have created some trees and have collected and worked on our family history on money-required websites and some or all of that may be lost or kept as a ransom which we cannot get to without paying money to get access to it and stuff.
.
I encourage people to keep family trees on different websites and inside emails and Word Documents and printed as hard copies and kept inside pen drives and in different places as in the more the better.

Joey,

These are good sources, you need to make sure you understand how to cite the source correctly, including a link to the source where possible (even if it is just a link to where to buy the book, or a review of the book) and remember to include that page number where the data is found.   Also, because of copyright policies, you need to summarize the data and not copy and paste.

Learning the above will help with the demonstration of your knowledge of sources.

In addition, the requirements of the Pre-1500 badge include active participation in a project and the G2G forum.   Through these two methods you will meet others and the leadership team will have an opportunity to understand your capabilities.
